Nordic Bridge Music and Pharaohs House proudly present Swedish / UK artist Samira Manners and her new single ‘surprisingly it don’t.’
The track marks the second single from her forthcoming EP and offers an intimate glimpse into a period of profound personal and professional transition.
Rooted in acoustic pop and singer-songwriter traditions, the track explores resilience, emotional endurance, and the quiet strength found in acceptance.
Written during a challenging year marked by relocation from Sweden to the UK, family health struggles and personal loss.
‘surprisingly it don’t’ features a gentle and calming piano arrangement and the emotionally stirring vocals of Samira Manners.
The song captures the feeling of being repeatedly knocked down by life — and the realization that sometimes, there is no clear resolution, only the choice to keep going.
With its stripped-back acoustic production, intimate vocals, and diaristic lyricism, the track allows raw emotion to take centre stage.
“I wrote ‘surprisingly it don’t’ during a year of constant struggle in my professional and personal life.
From moving my whole life from Sweden to the UK whilst dealing with loss and health issues within the family.
Through writing this song, I found acceptance in the fact that sometimes nothing good happens to you and yet you still keep going. I feel as though this is something everybody can relate to.
Everybody goes through periods of trials and I hope this song can make someone feel a little less alone about it.”
Rather than focusing on specific events, the song speaks to a universal experience — the slow shift from disbelief to acceptance when facing life’s more difficult chapters.
Through her honest and reflective storytelling, Samira Manners invites listeners to find their own meaning within the song — offering a sense of connection, comfort, and shared humanity.
