Pillbox Jam are a jazz funk band from London.
They just band recorded an EP with Derrick McKenzie (Jamiroquai), bringing his world-class groove and studio experience into their sound and cementing their connection to the UK’s funk and acid‑jazz legacy.
The live recording took place at RAK studios using only a few microphones straight to tape, deliberately chasing an old‑school, raw live sound instead of a heavily edited studio polish.
‘Monkey Business’ begins with a vibrant and funky intro, which sets the mood for the track as Pillbox Jam then add smooth beats to the mix as they unveil this outstanding instrumental composition.
The band have already toured in Chile, expanding their reach internationally and showcasing their high-energy live grooves to South American audiences early in their career.
