Noughties cult indie favourites Iglu & Hartly have released a brand new and colourful single in ‘Supreme’, timed alongside the beginning of a long-awaited return to the UK with five dates across the country.
Elastic bass tones, atmospheric guitars, punchy drums and punchier vocals, the initial moments set the tone for a track that pulls between spacious nighttime wanderings and a high-octane party. Funk grooves underline the restless energy and make a sparkling pay-off each time the chorus bursts out from the speakers. If you’re in need of a celebratory sound that plays on your most nostalgic heart-strings, you can’t go wrong with ‘Supreme’
The band shares that the return to form is no accident, explaining, “We wanted to bring that signature LA heat back to the UK with ‘Supreme,’ a high-octane anthem designed to capture the same riotous, party-starting energy that first put us on the map. This tour is all about celebrating that timeless ‘sweat’ soaked hype’ with our Harties, proving that the California sun never really set on the Iglu & Hartly sound.”
Heading back across the Atlantic for their first UK run in years, you can find Iglu & Hartly in Birmingham, London, Bristol, Liverpool and Glasgow. With shows already sold out, it’s a reminder of the remaining appetite for the band that stormed the charts with ‘In This City’ back in 2009. With ‘Supreme’, the group are reconnecting with the past, but making it exactly what we need in the present.
