The Scarlet Goodbye ignite with new single ‘She’s a Fire’ ahead of UK & Ireland tour

With “She’s a Fire,” The Scarlet Goodbye reignites their classic rock spark while setting the stage for a busy year ahead on the road. The Minnesota collaboration between Daniel Murphy, best known for his work with Soul Asylum and Golden Smog, and singer-songwriter-producer Jeff Arundel continues to thrive, with the new single offering a vibrant preview of their forthcoming third album and the energy they’re about to bring across the UK and Ireland.

Recorded once again in the duo’s now-legendary attic studio in St. Paul, “She’s a Fire” bursts forward with the kind of confident, melodic swagger that has become a signature of The Scarlet Goodbye. Searing guitar riffs slice through the mix while tight, harmony-rich vocals give the track a classic pop-rock sheen. There’s a clear nod to the golden age of British rock here, Carnaby Street attitude, jangling guitars, and a hint of The Zombies in the melodic phrasing—yet the song never feels stuck in the past. Instead, it carries a modern clarity that reflects the duo’s seasoned songwriting instincts.

Lyrically, the track captures the magnetic pull of a figure who burns bright and commands attention. The storytelling feels loose and playful, leaning into the romanticised mythology of rock and roll while maintaining the thoughtful, melodic craft that defined the band’s previous releases.

“She’s a Fire” follows the success of the duo’s earlier albums Hopes Eternal and El Camino Adios, both of which established The Scarlet Goodbye as a project where classic rock influences meet reflective Americana songwriting. Critics praised El Camino Adios for its balance of driving rock numbers and introspective ballads, and the new single suggests that the upcoming third album will continue expanding that dynamic range.

The release also arrives just as The Scarlet Goodbye prepare to bring their music to audiences overseas with a UK and Ireland tour beginning March 11, 2026. The run kicks off in Edinburgh at Sneaky Pete’s, before heading to Glasgow’s Hug and Pint, Newcastle’s Cluny 2, and Birmingham’s Sunflower Lounge. From there, the tour moves through key indie venues including Manchester’s Night & Day Café and Cardiff’s Fuel Rock Club, before crossing the Irish Sea for shows in Belfast, Dundalk, Cork, Galway, and Dublin. Joining them across the run is Scottish rock outfit Overhaul, promising a string of high-energy nights built around guitars, storytelling, and live connection.

For a band rooted in studio collaboration, the tour represents an important extension of their creative momentum. These intimate venues should provide the perfect setting for the duo’s blend of classic rock punch and melodic warmth, allowing the new material to breathe in front of audiences who appreciate songs built on craft rather than spectacle.

With “She’s a Fire,” The Scarlet Goodbye sound energised and ready for the next chapter. The single doesn’t just tease a new album, it signals a band stepping confidently back into the spotlight, guitars blazing, as they prepare to carry that attic-born sound across stages throughout the UK and Ireland.
