Sunday Smoke is keeping their singles rolling into 2026, recently releasing the bright indie bop ‘You Again’, with restless, romance-tinged vocals and soaring guitar lines along the way.
The music kicks off with a huge fill, as if the starter motor is turning over before the engine of raucous guitars gets a chance to rumble into life. Immediately, their energy screams with indie rock life, heavy bass and punchy drums to boot.
Vocals feel infectious and raw, bounding around the melodies, then supported by counters on the electric guitar, a rush and an urgency with the floating, laid back haze of the noughties. Sonically colourful within the three-piece setup, it’s an addictive listen.
The band comments, “This song is about the grey area after a breakup, when you know you should move on, but you still feel pulled back into something that hurts. It’s about missing someone, replaying everything, and wondering how long it really takes to fall out of love… or fall back in.”
Hailing from Surrey, the trio only made their debut last year, but have already amassed thousands of listeners and appeared at multiple London venues, their songwriting capturing an audience from the off. Already, more tunes are hitting release for 2026, so keep an eye on Sunday Smoke.
