Fascination 127 is a fitting title because this group brings a fascinating blend of styles together on the new release titled ‘Memories of Lebanon’. This four-piece, alternative rock unit combines atmospheric and cinematic conditions that makes for the perfect stormy sound! The melodies evolve throughout the 11-track album and will have your imagination running wild! I can honestly say that Fascination 127 aka F127 is a hyper original band that includes intricate layers of depth within the music.
Based in Texas, Fascination 127 is certainly alternative and progressive at first listen, but after a more in-depth listening experience there is a lot more that meets the ear! F127 is made up of Pat Manske on drums, Daniel Escalante on bass & keys, Bryan Joseph Jamail on vocals & guitar and Luke Cutchen on guitar. The band also features Jac Payne on keys, SNC6 on additional guitars and Peyton Wlmmer on editing duties. Fascination 127 has a sound & style that is like no other and ‘Memories of Lebanon’ will definitely keep you engaged from start to finish.
The record kicks off with “Fascination 127” and right away the listener will be hit with an experimental sensation that is extremely unique to say the least. The raw energy being portrayed on “Fascination 127” is undeniable as the group hooks you in right from the jump. Next, on “I’m OK” dynamic vocals and a twisted sound will penetrate your eardrums making for a one-of-a-kind experience. On the following number, “Nord”, F127 peaks your interests and sparks your curiosity with a mixed ear salad for the ages! We head to “South Miami Beach” now where you can enjoy this tune sunny sideways up and enter a stress-free zone. You can also enjoy the official music video for “South Miami Beach” right here:
Time to slide into the next song now where “Kingdoms” rise and “Kingdoms” fall and F127 rises to the occasion! Fascination 127 is blasting off with a super sonic sound that is out of this world on “Saucerful (RIP)”. It’s time to take a BIG bite out of this “Green Apple Sea” as it rushes into the airwaves and delivers a sweet taste. Track eight, “Right As Rain”, provides some rockin’ riffs and the listener will want to soak it all up! The chill factor has been initiated on “Ooh Baby” where a cool vibe is detected immediately. “Wonderin” is musically rich throughout and F127 has plenty to say with one intriguing finale on “Transition Song”.
Fascination 127 is labeled as “Imagined With Imagination” on the band’s website and would say this is a witty way to describe this creative bunch. Just like trying a new wine or cuisine, F127 may be an acquired taste at first but one I feel can grow stronger in flavor over time. Give Fascination 127 a fighting chance and allow ‘Memories of Lebanon’ to fully sink in; you won’t regret it!
