Louis McTeggart shares his most personal song yet with ‘A Little Melody’

Louis McTeggart returns this week with his new single, “A Little Melody,” released today, February 13th.

Originally from Fermanagh and now based in Derry, Louis has spent more than 25 years writing and performing. In recent years he has balanced life as a travelling artist with a run of original releases, building thoughtful campaigns around each one.

“A Little Melody” feels like his most personal work so far. Written during a difficult time within his family, something that happens to us all at some point, the song reflects a period of distance from his younger brother after he became a father. It captures the quiet weight of sadness and frustration, and the fear that speaking honestly might only deepen the hurt. There is no grand statement here, just a wonderful attempt to put complicated feelings into words.

Produced once again by Peter Doherty of Kharma 45, the track is understated and patient, gradually opening up without losing its intimacy.

“A Little Melody” is available now on all digital platforms.
