All The Villains break loose on new track ‘Get Me To The Sea’

With a trickle of singles across the past two years, All The Villains are setting a new intention for 2026 with the release of the alternative anthem ‘Get Me To The Sea’. Their vivid soundscape that rushes its restlessness to soaring heights. Though the band has been releasing music for the best part of two decades, there’s a fervour within this single that is hard to define, but manifests in a surge of excitement as the arrangement climbs.

Thick, modern production invites a nostalgic edge in the synthesisers, drum groove and vocal melody. As it progresses, its momentum closes in as an indie anthem, with flashy guitars and catchy lyricism. In the back third of the single, more elements arrive, turning the production into something more vastly cinematic than the opening could have predicted. The sense of longing, alongside a mastery of the alt-rock format, unleashes something brilliant.

In their words, “Get Me to the Sea is a song about escape. It is about longing to be free, longing to breathe fresh air and gaze upon the wide horizon. I think pretty much everyone can relate to that, especially at this time of year.”

Stretching back to the early 00s but debuting officially in 2007, the band have had plenty of support across their career, performing in the US, mainland Europe and the UK. After their second album in 2008, the band stepped back. Returning sporadically since then, a new focus has brought an inspired dynamic, flying from four different time zones to capture their latest material.
