Jason Bembry’s new era: ‘Frozen Hearts’

Jason Bembry, whose relentless release schedule saw seven brand new releases, along with multiple ‘re-vamped’ re-releases in 2025, is unleashing another avenue of his sonic adventures with the new single ‘Frozen Hearts’. It’s a shift in tone, no doubt, but the fundamentals remain, with Jason’s mastery of pairing the emotion of a piano with an alt-pop electronic production and a soaring vocal melody delivering his thoughts to the listener.

Slightly darker than some of his glossier instincts, it tackles a harsher thematic territory, something teased in ‘Voices In The Mirror’, but it’s hard to shake the sense of optimism Bembry brings even in his more solemn and reflective moments. Atmospheric restraint characterised the icy tone of the keys, whilst momentum soars in the drums and synthesisers, coming together to bring fans gently into what the artist deems a “new era”.

Here’s what he shares: “I have been waiting for the right time to begin this new era of music. With the world becoming increasingly dark and us all feeling more separated from one another, the time is now. I wanted to write music that meets us where we are in these moments of grief, anger, resentment, and isolation. Frozen Hearts is not a breakup song. It’s looking at the world around us and realising that, to move forward, we need to sit with these strong emotions long enough to strike the match to warm our own hearts.”

Influenced by fellow pop poets in touch with both the wider world and the personal emotions, Jason Bembry’s intimate sound, characterised by his classically trained piano and a careful production craft, is explorative of all life’s emotions. Hinting at a chapter to come with his comments, we are excited to hear it.
