Reading alt-rock duo Lost Velvet have shared their new single, “Dark Cells,” via distributor Forbury Lion, marking the latest release ahead of their debut album.
The track was written and produced by Robert Butcher and Melissa Morris, who also share vocal duties. Featuring textured guitars and expansive rhythms, the single was mixed by Michael Patterson and mastered by Maor Appelbaum.
“Dark Cells” continues the duo’s exploration of alternative rock, shoegaze, and post-rock influences, building on early radio backing from BBC Introducing.
With their debut album set for release later in 2026, Lost Velvet are positioning themselves as an emerging name within the UK’s alternative music landscape.
