After finishing last year with an experimental reimagining of a Christmas classic, GILSKA begins her 2026 with the same slow-burning electronic intentions, now packaging sensuality and tension in a late-night cut, ‘SALT’. Atmospheric and hazy, it doesn’t rush or have a massive ebb and flow, but slowly becomes darker and more alluring over the runtime.
Once again embracing glitching electronics, alongside swelling synthesisers and kick-heavy percussion, the spacious production instead evokes a close, heated environment. Vocals are quiet, smooth and controlled, soft in delivery but biting in intention, occasionally letting the veil fall. It slips into the smoothness and keeps its gaze firmly forward. The minimal approach gives every detail a textural subtlety and a weighty motion.
GILSKA address it’s seductive surroundings, “Salt explores raw sexual tension through glitchy dark pop textures and heavy, hip-hop-styled percussion. Intimate, minimal, and seductive, it lives in the charged pause before touch—where attraction becomes unavoidable.”
Support from across the tastemaker spectrum, GILSKA’s growing reputation for immersion has led her to a performance at Wembley Stadium for Voice in a Million. ‘SALT’ shows her intention for the year ahead with masterful curation, certainly one to watch.
