Mission Creep lends the smooth, laid-back feel of mid-’60s soul-jazz with the grit of garage rock and psychedelic influences.
‘Weed Wacka!’ begins with soulful grooves that have a 1960s feel to them and have us captivated from the very start.
Using a seamless, DJ-inspired approach, the project layers live instrumentation over samples and electronic grooves to create a distinctive sonic landscape.
With a strong sense of collage and found-footage aesthetics, the band features an international lineup of collaborators, including Germany’s Marcel Reginatto on reeds, Norway’s legendary drum powerhouse Ted Parsons (Prong, Godflesh, Swans) and Boston bass phenom Ken Maurais.
