There is a chill running through modern life, and Flash Poetry captures it with sharp, poetic clarity on his new single ‘Reality, Now’. Blending spoken word, hip-hop, psych-rock and jazz-inflected groove, he unpacks how technology, ego and convenience have reshaped the way we seek meaning.
Performing as Flash Poetry, Naarm/Melbourne poet and freestyle artist Nico Lim merges rhythm and reflection, tracing modern anxieties with thoughtfulness and precision. His path to music began after a period of forced silence while living in the Colombian jungle, which led him toward poetry and later a transition from librarian and copywriter to full-time artist.
On ‘Reality, Now’, mellow guitar lines and floating keys sit beneath Nico’s deliberate vocal cadence, creating a space where philosophy meets groove. It offers the first glimpse of his debut album of the same name, set for release Friday 28th November 2025.
