Further teasing the release of the upcoming ‘Perspectives EP 2’, Cosmic Gate return with one of their most introspective solo singles yet: ‘YOU’.
‘YOU’ is a track that is born to take listeners on a true journey. With a strong intro that leans into both the ambient and forward-thinking trance elements, it instantly piques the attention and curiosity of listeners with an energy that pushes forward, whilst also allowing space for the effervescent melody to step into the fore. Tied together with a hypnotic female vocal, cinematic, tension-fuelled buildups and searing synths come together with a drop that is powerful but not overpowering, leaving room for the hands-in-the-air euphoria that signals the new generational Cosmic Gate sound.
Following the lead single from ‘Perspectives EP 2’, ‘Never Erase You’ with vocalist Diana Miro, this release is a sophomore glimpse into the highly anticipated EP (set to drop this Halloween) and no-doubt poised to be a stand-out track across their forthcoming dates at this years Amsterdam Dance Event, aswell as their globetrotting Perspectives World Tour.
Back in September, the duo premiered the ‘Perspectives EP 2’ project at the Tomorrowland Store’s rooftop terrace in Ibiza. Inviting fans on the island to gather for a free launch party, they packed out the space with an hour-long sunset set, where ‘YOU’ was also played for the first time in its entirety.
