Premiere: Rising soul star Bradley Jago unveils soulful new single ‘Killer Queen’

Rising UK soul artist Bradley Jago makes a striking return with single ‘Killer Queen’, delivering his most dynamic soul-pop sound to date.

Renowned for his self-coined genre, queer soul for queer souls, Jago continues to carve space for honest queer storytelling within modern soul. In this single, Bradley offers up a track that captures both the thrill and vulnerability of surrendering completely to love.

Opening with an arresting bass lick, Killer Queen stands as an anthem for those who love boldly, even when it burns. Bradley effortlessly blends the warmth of soul and the sparkle of pop, drawing inspiration from artists like Leon Bridges and Olivia Dean while defining his own unmistakable sound. At its core, Killer Queen is a love story that dances on the edge of danger and desire. Jago’s performance is raw yet refined, his voice weaving through moments of playfulness, power, and tenderness. Logan Aspin’s cinematic production amplifies his powerful vocals, moving effortlessly between brightness and shadow, reflecting love’s delicate balance between vulnerability and control.

Speaking on the single, Jago shares:

“It’s about surrendering my reservations in the name of love, and how being so vulnerable leaves your life in their hands.”

Killer Queen brings together a dynamic team of writers — Bradley Jackson, Rotem Aberbach, Joseph Burnett, Tony Sage, Oscar Gross, and Shirin Nisametdin. The single also arrives as the first taste of his upcoming EP, set for release in March 2026, and is accompanied by a striking visualiser dropping on the 22nd October.
