Emerging singer-songwriter Diana Herrera steps into the spotlight with a sound rooted in sincerity and storytelling. Blending heartfelt pop with tender balladry and acoustic warmth, Herrera crafts songs that feel both intimate and cinematic. Drawing inspiration from artists like Taylor Swift, Lizzy McAlpine, and Billy Joel, her music captures the quiet beauty of everyday emotion — reflections on love, memory, and self-discovery shaped in the stillness of her bedroom with just a guitar or piano.
With her debut single ‘If She Calls’ out now, Herrera introduces herself as a songwriter with an eye for detail and a heart for connection. Her voice, delicate yet expressive, carries a timeless quality that bridges the gap between contemporary pop and classic storytelling. If her forthcoming release is any indication, Diana Herrera is poised to become a compelling new voice in the next wave of emotionally honest pop.
We sat down with Diana to learn all about the debut release, what her plans are for the future and much more here at Music Crowns!

Hey Diana, welcome to Music Crowns! How are you doing?
Hi, thank you! I’m doing great, so excited to talk with you guys about my music.
Congratulations on your debut single ‘If She Calls’, how does it feel to have your first song out in the world?
Thank you so much! Feels amazing. It’s so cool to have a song I wrote on streaming platforms & know that people can listen to it whenever. It feels so surreal, I think 8-year-old-me would freak out just to know I put one out.
Who are your main influences?
Well, I really look up to ABBA, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Billy Joel, Gracie Abrams, and many others. I hope I can learn from the things I love about them. From their amazing writing, to their singing, and their hard work ethic.
Who or what first made you want to start writing your own songs?
I can’t remember. I think I was 8 and I was watching videos of artists on TV performing. Then, I couldn’t stop humming and wrote my first song, and each word was written with a different color of crayon. Haha. The song was about “just being who you are” or something like that. I should have a picture of it, or the notebook itself somewhere in my room because I remember finding it again a couple years ago.
What does a typical writing session look like for you?
Well, I’ve never been to a writing session with other people before, but I should have my first one pretty soon so I’m really excited. I’ve always written my songs in my room by myself, sometimes at school. I’ll usually just write down my idea and come back to it later, when I remember I wrote something down, or I start a song and finish it right then and there.
Is there a dream collaboration or producer you’d love to work with in the future?
Oh, absolutely, so many. I don’t want to jinx anything of course but Dan Nigro, Ryan Tedder, Julia Michaels… and well, I love Taylor Swift. That would be my biggest, angel-choir-singing moment, haha.
And finally, what’s next for Diana Herrera for the rest of 2025?
I’ll be getting into the studio pretty soon to work on new music, or songs I’ve written that I want to refine. Maybe, if all goes well, we can get a second single out before the end of the year!
