Kelsie Kimberlin blends music and humanitarianism in ‘Dream of Peace’

Ukrainian-American singer-songwriter Kelsie Kimberlin continues to merge artistry and activism with her striking new single, “Dream of Peace,” released on International Day of Peace and debuted at the International Peace Concert in Los Angeles. Known for her humanitarian advocacy, Kimberlin channels the resilience and hope of the Ukrainian people into a work that is as visually stunning as it is musically powerful.

Filmed in Kyiv amid intense missile and drone attacks in August 2025, the cinematic music video, directed by Denys Akulov and produced by TOBE Production (behind Ed Sheeran’s viral “2Step”), showcases a striking narrative of transformation. Through motion-controlled cinematography, viewers are transported from barren, post-apocalyptic landscapes to a revitalized Earth teeming with life. In a poignant twist, Kimberlin encounters a fallen astronaut in the desert, ultimately realizing it is herself, before the video concludes with her standing in a field of sunflowers under a clear blue sky, Ukraine’s national colours, symbolising universal hope for peace.

Musically, “Dream of Peace” builds from orchestral and choral layers into a breathtaking crescendo, crafted by Ukrainian composer Yuriy Shapeta and Colombian producer Pedro Vengoechea. Kimberlin’s vocals, guided by renowned director Larry Friedman, soar with emotional intensity, while Grammy-winning engineers Liam Nolan (Adele) and Stuart Hawkes (Amy Winehouse) ensure a polished, dynamic mix.

This single marks Kimberlin’s sixth release of 2025, following a year of remarkable achievements, including receiving the United Nations Humanitarian Award and St. George’s Royal Medal of Honor from King Charles. With over 100 original songs and tens of millions of streams, she has cemented her status as an artist who bridges music and activism. Later this year, Kimberlin will release a feature-length film about Ukraine, accompanied by a global tour to raise awareness and showcase her music to audiences worldwide.

“Dream of Peace” is a testament to resilience, beauty, and the transformative power of music in times of adversity.
