Cheltenham-based singer, songwriter and George Michael tribute act Jon Canem has unveiled the soft, pop-laden, romantic new single ‘End Of Time’. Fusing nostalgia melodies with a crisp modern production and timeless lyricism, Canem ticks all the boxes of deeply charming songwriting.
In his delivery, Jon is slick and emotive, the bittersweet reflections on the failings of what once seemed unshakable, a true love. Just over three minutes, the remains potent throughout, deeply thoughtful and lingering.
Jon shares, “I wrote this song about a break-up and how it affects you, because true love is hard to let go, no matter what the circumstances are.”
Influenced by pop acts from 80s bands like Simply Red through to 00s sensations like Coldplay. Within that, Canem seeks out uniqueness, earning acclaim at home in the UK and across Europe. Always able to balance vulnerability with style, Canem’s strengths lie in his emotional control.
