Mortez returns with new single ‘River Runnin’

LA duo Mortez have shared the chant-like new single ‘River Runnin’, taking a biting rock swagger to new heights in the follow-up to summer single ‘Down With The Devil’.

Steady distorted riffs charge forward into the battle with a rebellious edge. It’s harmonically dark, cinematically arranged and raw. As the drums punch out of the speakers and the guitar screams, pushed to its limits, the vocal is a fiery performance. Enchanting and yet unapologetically bold and firm, each lyric is delivered with melodic skill. Add in a section for a pure rock n roll guitar solo, and you’ve got a recipe for success.

The band share, “This song embodies the essence of inner work, shadow work, letting go of the past, and embracing a new timeline. Quantum leaping to the highest level. Connecting to nature and coming back ‘home’ to reconnect with your true purpose here on planet Earth.”

Formed when Rachele Royale and Brett Daniels first crossed paths, Mortez has played host to a dark alternative rock sound since its debut. Rachele’s solo work has already landed across Hulu, MTV, and SiriusXM, while Brett has shared stages with industry heavyweights. The difference with the Mortez project is the pair’s chemistry, acting as fuel for seriously dramatic soundscapes.
