Bungalow Collect are rounding out the summer with one more floor-filler as we head into autumn. ‘Show You Some Things’ just dropped, brimming with swaggering rap verses, disco-soaked grooves and a feverish energy.
The single sees the four-piece, Rshad, Marcus, Apollo J and Zay Suav, continue to lean into their trademark ‘disco-rap’ identity. As basslines bounce and four-to-the-floor beats pulse, the quartet demands movement. Each member brings something different to the table, but they’re all working toward the same higher goal.
They share a comment on their vision, “We want people to remember us as the group that ushered in a new genre—‘disco rap.’ It’s the first genre that truly captures the essence of disco, with its freedom and fun, while blending it with the serious and truthful tones of rap. That’s the legacy we want to leave behind.”
Formed in 2021, Brooklyn’s Bungalow Collect started in an apartment, but has since racked up millions of views and streams whilst lighting up stages from SXSW to So What!. They celebrate life, connection and freedom in their words, and are doing their best to bring disco-rap to the forefront in the twenty-first century.
