On 5th September, genre-shifting artist Sonny E. releases his brand-new single “Time”, now available on all platforms.
Sonny E. is the reinvention of Adamski (Adam Paul Tinley), once hailed as the “Acid House & NRG King”. With “Time,” he brings forward a fresh sonic identity he calls Cyberbilly: a bold fusion of timeless rockabilly energy with cutting-edge AI technology.
“It’s taken me around half of my life to complete this song… one or two lines every couple of years,” Sonny explains. “It’s a hybrid of my two main passions – rockabilly, a timeless sound, and AI, the most inspiring technological development since the advent of sampling. I consider myself a teddy boy timelord – this is augmented reality rockabilly… cyberbilly.”
Although only two minutes long, “Time” carries decades of musical evolution. With its roots in the rebellious swagger of 1950s rockabilly and the boundary-pushing spirit of electronic music, Sonny E. delivers a sound both nostalgic and futuristic.
Having lived through and contributed to the rise of Acid House, rave culture, and electronic innovation, Sonny E. has distilled his journey into this new project. A one-man band armed with just a laptop and microphone, he struts the digital highway, pulling together influences from 1955 to 2099 to craft something wholly unique.
The track stands as the opening statement of a new chapter. Cyberbilly is here.
