LA pop rock trio The Lucky are happy to “Wait It Out”

The Lucky

The Lucky have unveiled a new music video for “Wait It Out”. The song is the title track of their coming-of-age new EP, out now on Manic Kat Records.

The Cali trio’s genre-bending brand of alternative pop is back on show in the attention grabbing visual, as the Lucky wrap a breakout 2024 in style.

Speaking on the making of the video, Mason Thomas-Eudy shares:

“Directed by our insanely talented friend William Bermudez, the “Wait It Out” video is a playful visualization of our Time spent waiting to “make it” as musicians. The song is about how we aren’t quite where we want to be and feel like we are in the waiting room. The video leans more towards how we are staying positive. At the same time, we’re waiting and still living our lives to the fullest while we do our best in our careers.”

From college roommates to a hot prospect garnering a buzz across LA, The Lucky might be your new favorite boyband.

The Lucky broke onto the scene with Headaches & Heartbreaks in late 2022. The debut EP announced the band’s arrival with five infectious and sunny tracks.

The group’s hook-laden soundscape is dealt a dose of dexterity with influence from hip-hop, and alternative rock. Accordingly, the former Berklee students have honed a sound that marries intricate guitars with soaring injections of melody.

New EP Wait It Out is a rich melting pot of their development to date. From heart-rendering “Never Loved You” to the intricate & punchy “Temporary”, The Lucky have crafted a mesmerizing collection. Indeed, the tracks ooze with confidence, while candidly offering up their vulnerabilities. The end product is six stirring and moreish anthems. Along the way, nods to The Wldlfe, Grayscale and jxdn come through, but The Lucky are delivering a fresh and intimate sound very much their own.
